ONEIROS

Oneiros - the dark winged spirits of dreams that emerge each night from the land of darkness beyond the rising sun.

They always pass through one of two gates - the first was the source of prophetic dreams sent by the Divine - the second was the source of dreams that were false and without meaning.

The term for nightmare was “melas oneiros” - black dream.
